The Cuban Trogon Cardigan is a celebration of colour, rhythm and Cuban spirit, a modern tribute to the island’s national bird, known for its striking palette of emerald, red, blue and white.

This design reimagines those colours through bold geometric motifs, crosses, angles and layered shapes that feel both nostalgic and contemporary. The result is a cardigan that is unapologetically joyful, beautifully expressive and deeply connected to heritage.

Each piece is hand-knitted in Peru by skilled artisans using traditional intarsia techniques, one of the most time-consuming and intricate forms of knitting. The rich colour blocks and crisp lines are achieved entirely by hand, giving each cardigan its own unique personality and character.

Finished by hand in London with traditional English pewter buttons, the Cuban Trogon is soft, slouchy and full of movement. The wide sleeves, boxy silhouette and signature two-tone ribbing create a look that feels intentionally oversized, relaxed and effortlessly statement-making.

Measurements are taken with the garment laid flat. Please take these measurements as a guide. Working with natural fibres means a little tolerance in sizing, and each handmade cardigan carries its own subtle differences.

Your knitwear is made from pure natural wool.

- Air between wears. Wool is self cleaning

- Spot clean small marks

- Hand wash in cool water

- Gently press in a towel. Never wring

- Dry flat and reshape while damp

- Store folded, not hung

- Use cedar or lavender for moth prevention

Returns are accepted within 14 days of delivery. Items must be unused, with tags and original packaging.

As our knitwear is handmade in small batches, we kindly ask that you choose your size carefully and avoid ordering multiple sizes with the intention of returning.

Delivery fees are charged at checkout. Import duties and taxes, if applied by your local customs office, are payable by the customer upon delivery. Lessons London does not collect or control these charges.
