The name comes from the idea that certain things stay with us. Lessons London was created around the belief that clothing can hold meaning, becoming part of the moments we return to again and again. The collection reflects this idea. Every piece is made slowly, by hand, with intention, and designed to be worn across seasons and through the rhythm of everyday life.Lessons also speaks to continuity. Each garment is knitted over several days by skilled artisans, then finished in London with quiet precision. The process is patient and deliberate, shaped by people who have spent years perfecting their technique. The name is a reminder that good things take time, and that the pieces we keep close often teach us something. You can read more about the story behind the name on our About page.
Lessons London was founded by Laura, a designer with more than twenty years of experience in fashion. Creativity has always been part of her life. She grew up in a home where colour, making, and imagination were encouraged every day, and those early influences still shape the way she designs. Her work is guided by a lifelong fascination with colour and a belief that clothing should feel personal. Before creating Lessons London, she spent years travelling to Lima for design work, building relationships with suppliers and learning from skilled makers. Those connections became part of the foundation of the collection. Today, each piece is knitted by hand in Peru, then finished in London with the same care and attention she learned early in her career.Lessons London is the result of everything that has shaped her. A childhood filled with creativity. A distant Cuban heritage that influenced her love of colour. Two decades of design experience. And a belief that the pieces we treasure become part of our story. You can read more about Laura’s journey on the About page.
